Mr. Globe Trotter visits Tel Aviv, Israel

In Israel, we eat shnitzel (breaded chicken), pasta, falafel, hummus, French fries, bamba (peanutbutter flavored snacks), bisli (salty snacks) and lots of fresh fruits and vegetables.

Friday night marks the beginning of our Shabbat, or weekend of rest. We usually spend Friday nights with our family.  We eat Challah (braided bread), light candles, and drink wine.

We speak Hebrew, and many people also speak English, which the children start learning in 2nd grade.

People in Israel show they care by saying good things and helping each other out.  We like to laugh a lot.
